וַיֹּ֣אמֶר אֵלָ֡יו הֶעָרִ֣ים אֲשֶׁר־לָֽקַח־אָבִי֩ מֵאֵ֨ת אָבִ֜יךָ אָשִׁ֗יב וְ֠חוּצוֹת תָּשִׂ֨ים לְךָ֤ בְדַמֶּ֙שֶׂק֙ כַּאֲשֶׁר־שָׂ֤ם אָבִי֙ בְּשֹׁ֣מְר֔וֹן וַאֲנִ֖י בַּבְּרִ֣ית אֲשַׁלְּחֶ֑ךָּ וַיִּכְרָת־ל֥וֹ בְרִ֖ית וַֽיְשַׁלְּחֵֽהוּ׃ (ס)
Und [Ben-Hadad] sprach zu ihm: 'Die Städte, die mein Vater deinem Vater genommen hat, werde ich wiederherstellen; und du sollst dir in Damaskus Straßen machen, wie mein Vater in Samaria gemacht hat.' Und ich, sagte Ahab, werde dich mit diesem Bund gehen lassen.' Also schloss er einen Bund mit ihm und ließ ihn gehen.
